Adobe® Captivate 4.0 Intermediate - Recording Demonstrations & Simulations
iLearning Experience™ Workshop Description
The Captivate 4 Simulations workshop will familiarize students with the many different methods and types of recordings. Captivate allows users to record demonstrations, simulations, and assessments. We’ll cover many of the most common errors that occur during the recording process, and how to avoid some, while easily identifying and correcting those which can’t be avoided, to create life-like simulations for your audience.
Students begin with a simple recording using a few basic screen captures and mouse movements. The course continues with more complex recordings, like recording multiple applications simultaneously and recording non-applications like the Windows environment. Students will understand the impacts of recording size, aspect ratio, screen resolution of recording machine, and screen resolution of playback machine; and how the four relate to each other.
Students will then edit these recordings as they learn to correct any recording discrepancies. Students will adjust interactive objects such as buttons, click-boxes and text entry boxes to simulate a realistic training environment for the learner. You will learn how to streamline your development process by sharing edited objects between your recordings.
During the assessment recording, students will examine scoring objects, setting-up quiz and reporting options, and response defaults for their projects. Setting up SCORM and AICC compliant projects will be addressed as well. Finally, students will publish their projects.
